The career advancement window shows you the three nearest career agents and where they are located. These agents will offer you a series of missions with the purpose of teaching you about industry, business or combat.
You can approach as many of the agents as you want and ask them for missions. The career advancement window can be opened at anytime from the help menu in the neocom.

Undock and activate your autopilot. Once you reach your destination, the autopilot will disengage. Right click in empty space to bring up the contextual menu and dock at the agents station.
